Tradewind Tankers is pleased to announce its participation in a newly established joint venture, Ecogas Holding AS, alongside Diana Shipping Inc., marking a strategic step into the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector. As part of the initiative, Ecogas Holding has successfully contracted two 7,500 CBM semi-refrigerated LPG newbuildings, which are scheduled for delivery in the first and fourth quarters of 2027. The joint venture also includes options for two additional vessels of the same specification. Fearnley Securities acted as sole arranger for the project. This move marks Tradewind Tankers return to the LPG sector, having previously owned and operated LPG carriers. Building on its historical presence in this market, the company is re-engaging with renewed focus and strategic ambition. This investment aligns with Tradewind Tankers long-term vision to diversify and expand its footprint in high-potential maritime segments while leveraging its expertise in tanker operations. The company looks forward to contributing to the success of this venture and exploring further opportunities in the LPG space.
